Secunda is a town situated on the Highveld, positioned approximately 150 kilometers from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, and 180 kilometers from Vanderbijlpark. One of its significant features is its proximity to one of the largest industries in the region, SASOL.

Secunda Campus, formerly known as Highveld Ridge Campus, was founded in the year 1987. Since its inception, the campus has experienced substantial growth and development. Presently, Secunda Campus boasts an enrollment of over 850 registered students.

The primary mission of Secunda Campus is to cater to the specific needs of the local industry. In this context, the campus functions primarily as a service provider to SASOL, placing a particular emphasis on the delivery of programs related to Engineering and Technology.
